We are excited to welcome students and staff to the 2026/27 school year! Here are important dates for the remainder of August.
- Tuesday, 8/18: LMS Sneak-a-Peek (9 - 10 am)
- Tuesday, 8/18: CMS School Tour (6:30 - 7:30 pm)
- Friday, 8/21: HHS Sneak-a-Peek (9 - 12 pm)
- Monday, 8/24: Elementary Sneak-a-Peek (10 - 11 am, LIC 9:30 - 10:30 am)
- Monday, 8/24: Step Up Day for grades 7 & 9 (Middle: 7:10 - 11:40 am, High: 7:20 - 12 pm) --- Transportation provided, Buses will run the normal am schedule.
- Tuesday, 8/25: First Student Day
Free Meals – All students enrolled in Hempfield School District buildings will be eligible to receive FREE breakfast and lunch again this school year!
Student Info – Teacher assignments, class schedules, and transportation information are now available in PowerSchool.

Your mornings and afternoons are covered. Hempfield recCenter's Before & After School Care program is now accepting registrations for the 2026-2027 school year at all 6 Hempfield School District elementary schools!
Before: 6:30–8:40 am | After: 3:30–6:00 pm

The 2026–27 school year is almost here, and we're excited to welcome our Black Knights back! Be sure to mark these important dates on your calendar:
Transportation Info, Student Schedules, and Teacher Assignments will be available in PowerSchool.
- Thursday, August 6: Transportation Info (Also available in the Stopfinder App)
- Friday, August 7: Student Schedules & Teacher Assignments
- Wednesday, August 12: Letters will be mailed home with building information

Secondary School Tours/Walk the Halls
- LMS: August 13 | 6:30–7:30 pm
- CMS: August 18 | 6:30–7:30 pm
- HHS: August 21 | 9:00 am–12:00 pm
- Also: CMS will host Cruise the Halls, and LMS will host a Sneak-a-Peek. Those dates can be found on our district calendar.
Elementary Sneak-a-Peek
• August 24 | 10:00–11:00 am (LIC: 9:30–10:30 am)
Step Up Day (Rising 7th & 9th Grade Students)
- August 24
- CMS & LMS: 7:10–11:40 am (Buses will pick up at normal time. Doors open for car riders at 7:10 am)
- HHS: 7:20 am–12:00 pm
First Day of School: Tuesday, August 25

Any 7th, 8th, or 9th grade student interested in joining the Jr. High Cross Country team for the 2026-2027 school year should join the Schoology Group with the access code: 7WRWQ9KNN2. There is no sign-up; you just need to complete your ATS Portal by August 12th. Here is a link to show you how to set up the ATS Portal:

Practices are held Monday-Friday, from 3-4:30, at Landisville Middle School. A shuttle bus will provide transportation from CMS to LMS after school. Pick-up will be at the LMS Cafeteria Entrance. We will have some voluntary runs over the next few weeks if you are interested. These will be posted on our Schoology Group.
